Brain based training
Brain stimulation is the solution. Muscles only move if nerves give them electrical stimulation. Nerves only stimulate if the brain gives the command. If the brain is over or under stimulated in certain areas, the commands given to nerves will be deficient.
For example, there are 3 major areas of the brain involved in any voluntary movement. If you want to go up a stair, your frontal lobe creates the command for your body, then your cerebellum takes that plan and tries to execute it with input from your PMRF. Painful stairs could be a frontal lobe problem, a cerebellum problem, a PMRF problem or a tissue or strength problem!
So most of our therapies are actually brain-based. We track down what exactly is going on and assess which therapies or tools is best.
